Why does a stomach reduced to a flat by lack of gluttony, a ripple of a muscle stretched to its form under a body assuming a warrior pose, a mind bold by the triumph of going beyond its limits seem so beautiful?
The creation of work, a building or a muscle is so much more beautiful than the glob of fat hanging on to its life and the idle chat filling in the stuffy snobbish air. This must be against the law of nature because to gain as much as possible with minimum effort is the efficiency that human body strived for. There must have been a time in history of evolution when our earlier forms must have wished for abundance of food and safety and leisure time and look, today we have got all that, well most of us especially if you are reading this post. Man (gender neutral) at certain point must have dreamt of flying and look we are doing that as well, millions of flight take off and land in the assured blanket of safety and surety.
Assuming that we got all that we wished for ourselves and also for the society if time wasn’t a limit, I have no proof but I am just projecting the growth of human kind as a whole in past few millennia; I mean for sure the monks in 2nd century BC must have wished for better ways to spread their words of wisdom and sure enough we got them but did they forget to ask for willing ears and open hearts that can overcome the egos of the mind and hunger for physical power over the weak.
They asked for food but they forgot to ask for the activity that would generate it and keep the mind from being idle or to take care of the diseases that come from being idle.
In all these questions, all I am asking is: What are we asking for?
Because it would come true for sure and then how would the world look, equality of wealth without equal labor, educated minds with no sense of responsibility, shared resources but no one to maintain, words of meaning but no comprehension, needs and wants beyond human contentment, a plastic island in pacific for winter getaway, tolerance heck appreciation for illogical ideology…
What are we shaping with our thoughts and our actions?
