Color Quiz

Want to know your color, give this site a try if nothing else its fun...

you are blueviolet
#8A2BE2

Your dominant hues are blue and magenta. You're the one who goes to all the parties but doesn't quite fit in at every one... you know what you want, but are afraid of what the world might think of it. You're a little different and that's okay with them, and if you're smart it's okay with you too.

Your saturation level is higher than average - You know what you want, but sometimes know not to tell everyone. You value accomplishments and know you can get the job done, so don't be afraid to run out and make things happen.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.

All Done and ready for next...

I was on a roll last week. Finished 10 layouts that I had aimed for before my next crafts purchase. My motivation was Ali E's new book life artist.
After making 10 layouts and altering a composition book for Devesh's song lyrics, I realized that I haven't even made a scratch in the abundance of my scrap supplies. So, after rewarding myself with AliE's book, I am again gonna take a shopping break until I complete my next 10 layouts.
Another motivating factor in deciding to go 10 more layouts before scrapping purchase is that even though I am not using the latest products on the market but the pages are still very special to me and I am happy creating it and happy with the final product.
And that's what matters, right?

Simply perfect: I carried these pictures for almost a week before I sat down to scrap them. It turned out very different from what I had imagined but I like it just the way, simply perfect...

Just be you: I played with this layout. Lately, I am spending a lot of my free time in the blogging world and its providing me with lots of inspiration. This layout is one such place where I let myself be carefree and went with the title of the page...I love it.

I love you: A set of fun pictures, I really didn't know how to start and what technique to use. Just kept adding things. Not too disappointed with how it turned out.

Little Birdies: My daughters inspired the title of this page by the way they communicate. With this page the journaling came way before the layout...

It says:You two are friends for life, I can tell you that. Even with four months of closeness you too share something that I have never witnessed before.
You both have developed a language of your own.
You chirp. You squeak. You laugh.
And we wonder what that communication was all about.
I hope this bond strengthens with time and you both are there for each other long after we are gone.
Together. Chirping. Squeaking. Laughing.

Its a girl: This layout is more of a documentary page for my newborn's baby album. I planned the sketch for it and cropped the pictures decided about the color combination...basically my traditional way of scrapping.

Update on my 21 day challenge

I didn’t stick to my original plan but the plan that evolved in these 19 days is something that I am planning to stick to.

Eating Healthy, that’s a must not just for me but for the family.
I wanted to loose quick weight; no sugar, low carb diet didn’t work for long but instead we as a family came up with a balanced meal plan that includes dairy, veggies, meats and bread. Don’t forget 8 glasses of water.

I couldn’t spend 10 minutes on the treadmill everyday but instead some days I chose to walk with my family and other days, I had to rely on taking stairs and parking the car farther away in the parking lot.

It was tough to spare 15 minutes for my creative outlet everyday, so I carried my pictures with me in the car and planned my layouts for the weekend when I’d actually sit down and work and that’s okay. I am carrying recipe cards and glue stick in my purse for times when I need to get my hands dirty.

So, in strict terms, some might call it a failure but from my perspective, it was a success.
These 21 days made me conscious/aware of the changes that I’d like in my life and helped me formulate a successful plan. I had to re-examine my priorities and that’s just what I did.
After all, there’s just 24 hours in a day and when you can not set aside time for your goals you try to incorporate it into your daily routines (which is even better).

I wanted to thank Rhonna for all the inspiration she has provided. Her daily quotes are going to make way into my art and creative journal.

I hope we all together evolved in these days as better individuals with clearer goals.

"Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up." -Chinese proverb

p.s. I have a few more journal pages to share. I didn’t make one for each day but did it when ever inspiration struck.

Latest layouts... 2-5 of 10

This weekend was very productive, scrapbooking wise.
Cleaning wise, laundry wise. healthy eating wise...mmm..not so sure.
It was raining off and on and I hate to be out in wet weather; dirty shoes, dirty clothes, dirty car...too much work.

So, I scrapped at home,

I hope you dance is one of my Favorite song and wanted to use it on my LOs since my first one was born. These pictures provided me with the opportunity and I went with the flow...

this LO is the fastest Lo I've ever made. I made it without thinking too much. Started with the photo placement first...

Another of my favorite set of pictures, I love these girls, they are both so very photogenic... Circles are speaking to me these days and I guess, with this LO, I went overboard.

Saumya, love being in front of the camera, these are not pefect pictures but they convey a funny string and I made a LO with pictures as they main stay, no frills.
