Back from vacation

We took a long road trip family vacation and that’s the reason for my absence from blogging. We had limited internet connectivity and it wasn’t conducive for blogging or journaling, although I did take notes on note cards to document our journey…
It was a wonderful and relaxing trip, we drove extensively and saw and hiked as much as we can squeeze in the time. A lot of our landscape was scenic and beautiful and breathtaking and yet my most spiritual and inspiring moment, for the phase of life that I am in, came while driving through the vast, barren, uncultivated, uncharted and unused landscapes.

There was and there is so much beauty in the undefined landscape that I realized, not every hour of my life (my canvas, my landscape) has to be productive and be accounted for. It is okay to just be and not plan and let go of schedules and though it sounds incredible simple, it is one of the toughest things for me. Trust me if I could, I’d plan and schedule my sleep patterns and dreams as well…

On that inspiring note from the land that was just there without any obvious purpose, I gave myself permission to let go.
