We walked from our hotel on Via Cavour through via dei Serpenti towards the colosseum… and these were our very first view of the monument.

It is advisable to buy tickets online for all monuments and museum visits in Italy, it reduces the wait time in long lines. Access the internet at your hotel, it is very tough to find wifi on the road like we are used to here in every coffee shop around the block.
